Tryse: I haven't had much fortune when speaking to him previously, but I can try a different approach.
[And there's an album upload! On the Native Flora of Temple Horizon.snk
It's a bunch of carefully taken pictures of paper notes, written in a hand so neat and practiced, it could have been printed by computer. She's been at this for a little over a month now, and includes underwater plants and fungi as well as what can be found in the forest. It's not the work of an enthusiastic amateur, either. She knows what she's doing in the realm of herbology and in the realm of information organization. The general format is as follows -
Snek Plant Description: Tryse includes a detailed description of the plant's appearance, texture, and smell. Sketch of Snek Plant: A sketch with a practiced hand. Location: General location in the forest, or, possibly, if found on wandering monsters. Or as wandering monsters. Similarities/Differences to Home Plants: If they're close to Earth-style plants, and in what ways. Toxicity: Whether they're poisonous, and a rough scale on how much so if they are. From the descriptions, there's been a lot of self-experimentation there. Edibility: Whether they can be eaten and digested well, regardless of flavor (though that does get a mention). Uses: A brief description of uses, medicinal, dietary, cosmetic, and utility-focused (Keeps away bugs? Works as a dye? Deodorizes?). There are brief snippets of Anglo-Saxon at the end of each entry, referring to various concoctions they can be used to emulate/replicate, but those names are all in short-hand and often non-indicative.
Whether any of this information is new to Paracelsus, she doesn't know. She doubts it. But she'd told Eddie she'd make the attempt, and she does try to keep her word.]

Caster: I will leave that matter to you and him, then.
[the reply takes a bit of time to arrive, because it's accompanied by a somewhat similar, though rather longer, album, the title of which is Notes on Local Flora (latest version). each entry contains, in small, precise handwriting:
* date of discovery and date of analysis; usually the same though sometimes the latter is a day or two later * at least one photograph of the plant in question, as well as a written description, including scent and tactile details * a description of where it was found and how abundant it was there * any warnings that apply (what parts are toxic if any, whether it releases irritants, whether it's animate and aggressive, etc) and any notes on harvesting it * a description of current medical, nutritional, toxic and other notable properties, usually including flavor * deeper analysis of those properties from an alchemical and medicinal perspective, if any are interesting * if it wasn't Pari or Eddie that discovered the plant, there's a note on who did and when. there are a scattering of other names here or there.
due to the mutable nature of the forest, a few entries are marked with notes like "haven't seen since day X (before snowfall)". while there's almost certainly a lot of overlap, since Pari and Eddie have been at this since the first day of snek and been pretty diligent about it, it's not unlikely that there are a few plants on Tryse's offering that they haven't encountered.]
[She skims, more than anything else. The bulk is to be expected, he has been around for far longer than she, and his two-month lead, with assistance, gives a lot of ground to cover when you're limited to a two-mile radius (or three, in recent times). It'll be a good bit of more comprehensive reading later, perhaps when she's converted everything into something for storage on her Focus.
She'd figured, though, that there might be a few, more likely the underwater offerings or the more mobile sorts, he might not've seen, and there's a bit of smug academic pleasure at seeing that she's managed to put down a few things that he hasn't. Not that she can afford to allow that to run away from her. This isn't a competition, after all. Besides, if it were, the few unique entries she has would be dwarfed by his.]
Tryse: Understand that this is just a quick glance-through on my end. Tryse: It looks as if we've covered many of the same bases, though I've quite a bit of new information to absorb over the next few days, it seems. Tryse: If you're looking to cut to the chase on my offerings, I'd suggest pages [Well. A tiny list, just the ones she didn't immediately spot in his treatise.] though I haven't seen the third entry since the fire. I suspect it's simply waiting, however.
