Abilities: As an Average One, Paracelsus can wield all five standard Fate elements (air/fire/earth/water/void) with equal ability. His Rapid Incantation skill lets him cast very quickly, usually just by invoking the element he wants to use or the name of the spell he's casting. He's notably skilled at alchemy, gemcraft, curses, healing and illusion, and he can probably work out most things that are possible within Fate's magic system if he has a need. He can produce all kinds of useful alchemical substances and creatures (though probably not the latter ingame), including high-density elemental crystals and the Philosopher's Stone. He also bakes.
His Noble Phantasm lets him summon the Sword of the Elementalist, a blade composed of pure Philosopher's Stone. He can use this to fire an anti-fortress sword laser because all the cool kids in Fate have sword lasers, but its real function is basically a magical supercomputer. It massively increases the speed and power of his spells, and also lets him absorb, analyze and subvert any other magic he can see. This capability can be overwhelmed, but you basically have to be wielding Fate/Excalibur to do that so it's not easy; even a small piece of Philosopher's Stone, given to another Servant, was enough to shut down a divine curse inside Rider's personal pocket dimension.
He has the standard set of Servant abilities -- increased resilience, inhuman physical stats (though not as much as a more combat-oriented Servant), the ability to dematerialize, etc.

INVENTORY
Date: 2022-07-30 04:31 am (UTC)[Inside are just a few pieces, folded one on top of the other. Dark slacks, sturdy enough to weather the scrapes and bumps of hikes through the woods. An equally dark buttoned shirt, the high, soft, banded collar not quite a turtleneck, but close. The sleeves end in an elegant tulip split, rather than cuffs.
The double-layered vest with it mirrors the cross shape of his usual brace. While simple on the outside, the inner flaps holds several additional discreet pockets - roomy enough to hold a small handful of stones, or a few stoppered vials. Tucked on the inner right is a curious, embroidered grey mouse; on the left is a fluffy golden finch.
Though bare of its previous embellishments, the white overcoat is as close to its original shape as descriptions can manage. The weave is soft, thick, and stain resistant - or as much as the polyester blended into the cotton can manage. And along the back, from the shoulders to the waist, are the curving lines of his elementals' petals - detailed in soft Mouse grey.
The styles sit at an odd place - far in the future from his human life, and quaintly antiquated at the point of his summoning. But there's obvious levels of care in it - ideas that translate, even if the specifics did not.]

Date: 2022-08-03 04:02 am (UTC)* I'm generally going with "materialization of impossible concepts" as its domain. It doesn't affect "natural laws" but it can materialize "answers that are not even wrong" (see: mu) such as "a place that's in two places at once" or "a massless singularity" or, idk, I'll come up with more bullshit like this.
* It can also fuck with other things that "bring impossible concepts into existence", naturally.
* It will manifest as an Eldritch Thing because of course it will.

Date: 2023-04-24 02:16 am (UTC)* Imaginary Number Space is basically Elsewhere, or "the space of possibilities that lie outside the physical world". FGO goes into this much more deeply since Chaldea has to travel through Imaginary Space to get between the Lostbelts. It's possible to travel through it, evading most boundaries, but in order to return the traveler needs a conceptual anchor in the real world. Most of the Fate/ "places that don't exist in the world" are hanging out in Imaginary Number Space.
* Most people use it as inventory/storage dimensions, or to absorb and redirect attacks. It's also better at affecting spiritual beings than material ones.
* Probably will manifest as antilight, ie, vantablack crystals with tiny stars in their depths that radiate shadows.
